I'll dominate 'credible combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.
Ex two-time world title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead targeted ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, consistently making massive paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Size Difference
As the two fighters participated in the usual face-off, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
